Happy Thanksgiving weekend and week!
The close of November is upon us and it seems too many of us are moving too quickly into Christmas mode, before we truly enjoy Thanksgiving.
For us as believers, Thanksgiving is not just a day to be celebrated. It’s an attitude, lifestyle that we live. We can and should be thankful for a lot of things and people in our lives.
- Read these verses below.
- When the Person of God becomes our main focus of thanks, it seems to me that I grow to be a more thankful person in all other aspects of life.
- I encourage you to read and recite these verses below (several times) with your focus on the Person, Character and Work of God
With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the LORD: “He is good; His love to Israel endures forever.” And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. Ezra 3:11 NIV
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.
Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp.
