Twenty-Twenty Five! WOWZAH! I’m expectant that God’s Spirit will ignite, renew, deepen, and grow us in our relationship with Him through our new mini-series! We will be reminded and encouraged to daily grow in love and serve Jesus because we are not part-time followers of Christ, right!?
EVERY DAY, we need JESUS!
“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 NLT
Wouldn’t you agree that while we celebrate the past and present goodness, and a future hope for a great year, we should be aware and empathetic to the trials and tragedies occurring in lives around us?
By the time you receive this email, our brother-in-Christ Brian Ishihara will hopefully be doing well and recovering from a double lung transplant!
Through Brian’s health challenges, he and his wife Song have been faithfully and gratefully trusting God – loving and growing in Christ. They have been an inspiration and example of devotion and perseverance.
As we look towards our new year, evaluating our lives, setting new goals, praying through personal challenges, etc., I want us to be mindful of loving and growing mānoa (deep, vast, strong) in our devotion to God! And there are days when it will require perseverance and encouragement from others.
And let’s include the “equal importance of loving our neighbor as ourselves.”
God has called us to Full-Time devotion and commitment to Him. This means full-time spiritual development every day. Which leads me to Everyday Jesus! Every day with Jesus. Every day loving Him. Every day growing in Him. Every day trusting Him. Every day talking to Him. Every day serving Him. And every day, loving people God has placed in and around our lives.
