We thank God for all of you Moms, and as I always do, I thank God for all ladies (even if you aren’t a “Mom”) because you are and can be a Spiritual Mom to others! C’mon, somebody say amen!
The meaningful and valuable responsibility of a mother is a significant God-given ministry! We talk often about the Father heart of God, but don’t you think God has a nurturing mother’s heart? To me, it’s obvious that God has the heart of both a father and mother, who loves, protects, and provides for their children. He is Creator God, who forms and blesses us with Dads and Moms!
I love the New Living Translation of Psalm 139:
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. 17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! 18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!“

What a powerful passage speaking towards God’s intentional and purposeful heart as our Creator!
Moms, your lives are a special gift to our family of God. You may have been through or are going through tensions or tough times with your earthly family, but God has repurposed you to be a mom in our Kingdom family. You are loved beyond measure! God’s thoughts about you and towards you are as the sand of the seas—that’s a mega monstrous amount of thoughts! He is with you everyday, all day!
I pray that you grow to be a spiritual mom and mentor to all those around you (yes, even you single ladies)! We love you, are for you, and support you as our sisters in Christ!
