Today’s the Big Day for our son Koa, his fiancé Sarah, and our families!  They will be married at 5 PM!  Somebody say AMEN!

I’m reminded every wedding I attend, officiate, or am a part of, that God loves covenant unity. What joy it must bring His heart when man and woman unite in love for each other and God. Marriage is a reflection of the covenant union between the Groom Jesus and His Bride. So I try to remind people who are in attendance at a wedding, that God reminds all of us to renew our vows and rededicate our hearts to Jesus as our Groom!

“And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.”
Ephesians 5:21-26 NLT

Whether you’re single, married, divorced, widowed, we are blessed to have a Groom who is intimately, passionately and deeply in love with us! As Jesus’ Bride, may our lives mirror our marriage relationship with Jesus!
