Aloha Friday NHM ‘Ohana!
“One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4
As people of God, no matter our ages, seasons of life – we need each other don’t’ we? There’s something to the older generation…
CONTINUED…
…sharing stories of their lives – the ups, down, successes and failures. Especially stories that include God – His faithfulness, presence, encouragement, empowering – through all seasons of life.
Lineage and passing down stories were significant for the Jewish people. David wrote to “commend” your works – which means declare or speak highly with a heart of praise and celebration.
“Commend your works to one another” doesn’t just include kūpuna passing along stories – it includes all of us – all generations interacting, sharing life stories with one another. That’s ‘Ohana right?!!
The elderly don’t retire from investing in their families and others. All generations don’t retreat from sharing life stories – serving, helping and encouraging one another.
Our greatest legacy is not be what we leave for the next generation, but what we leave in them.
I’m encouraging and exhorting us as a church ‘ohana to be more intentional about investing in relationships with each other. We need each other! We need to hear, respect, ponder, receive one another – sharing stories that challenge and encourage us to be and become who God made just to be.

Are you interested in being water baptized?
If you are interested in being water baptized, please read the brochure. Reach out to Pastor Rod or Malia to schedule a personal baptism date. Invite your friends and family to celebrate your monumental decision!
What is the significance of water baptism? Baptism signifies that through repentance, forgiveness, and faith, we belong to Jesus. As Christians, we are identifying with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. ≫Read more

To our NHM ‘Ohana: If you know a family or someone affected by hardships who needs assistance, please contact me (808) 216-5493. If you have a friend of a friend, relative of a relative, any connection to someone in need, don’t hesitate to contact me.
PHYSICAL DONATIONS
We are not collecting physical donation at our church at the moment. If you’d like to donate physical goods or necessities, there are numerous drop-off locations available. If you have any questions, please contact me.

We are receiving financial donations through our Show God Share Aloha ministry account (click the “Donations” button and select “Share Aloha”), or you can write a check with “ALOHA” in the memo line and bring it to our Sunday service. We provide transparent records of all donations and fund income to our donors—every dollar is prayerfully stewarded and fully accounted for.

The bottom line to me (my opinion and belief) is that as Christians, we should ask God where He wants us to give and how much.
