WHY NEPAL MISSIONS & HOW TO SUPPORT

WHY NEPAL?

Nepal has been one of New Hope Mānoa’s focus countries. We have developed deep relationships with Pastor Ruben, his network of churches, and other ministries in Nepal.

MISSIONS TRIP DATE:

November 16 – 29, 2024

THE TEAM

This year, the Nepal mission trip is being headed by Raquel Chan-Ikeda and accompanied by her husband Al Ikeda, Scott Ikeda, Kira Lee, and Nicole Ikeda Cossi. Also joining them are the husband and wife Mike Healy & Maria Valdes Healy, from St. Patrick’s church. Mike used to work with Raquel at the Naval Clinic and Raquel’s current clinic, Hawaii Coalition for Health in Wahiawa. Maria is an RN working in the Coronary Care Unit.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?

We welcome your support and participation in this year’s Bake and Craft Sale and Clothing Collection.

Last year, the Bake and Craft Sale in support of the Nepal Mission trip and Lahaina/Maui fires made over $3,000. We are holding another Bake and Craft Sale, this time for the benefit of the Nepal Mission trip, on October 20.  Please consider giving your time, talent, and treasure to help the fundraiser once again. In addition to handmade goods, you may also donate lightweight “garage sale” type items.

Please consider donating clothes to the Nepal Mission. We need all-weather clothes in sizes for children, teens, women, and smaller men’s sizes (through size Large). We will also take donations of practical lightweight accessories. Please hand your donation to one of the Nepal Mission members by November 3.
