Have you ever felt so humbly grateful to God for His intervening grace? I mean when He sovereignly provides and blesses you, answering your prayers, favoring you in practical ways in daily life?

We know God doesn’t always answer our prayers according to our will or desires—and that can be both tricky and emotionally sticky. I’ve wrestled with frustration and disappointment myself, especially when I wasn’t physically healed from illnesses like mononucleosis or hepatitis. Those seasons were physically grueling and spiritually tiring. I realize that many others are walking through even darker valleys—whether it’s a serious illness, emotional wounds, or broken relationships. Suffering is real, and it touches us all in different ways.

As I prepare for our upcoming series, Bible Revival, one key lesson we’ll explore together is how to grow in our understanding of how to read and interpret the Bible. I believe the Holy Spirit will faithfully guide each of us—and all of us—into a deeper relationship with Jesus, transforming us into His image through His Word and by His Spirit.

This journey will stretch us. It may challenge long-held paradigms and stir beliefs we’ve carried for years. Some things we’ve been taught—or assumed—might be shaken. But as we’re equipped to grow in our knowledge of God, we’ll also be invited to think deeply, pray intentionally, meditate consistently, and trust God wholeheartedly through the process.

Jesus equipped His disciples ini His final week of life in John 16:12-15 (NIV):

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.”

Please be in prayer for me and with me as we begin our series mid-August, that God’s Spirit would guide and instruct our hearts, minds and lives, that we may live a life pleasing and honoring to Him!
