Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21 reminds us that Jesus doesn’t want to just visit our lives, He wants to live there. “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…”

That word dwell means to “inhabit and make Himself at home.” Jesus isn’t looking for a weekend stay-cation 🙂 He desires to inhabit and be in relationship with us 24/7! (Remember our EverydaY Jesus series 🙂 – in growing mānoa in relationship with our Lord, every day of the week that ends with “Y.”)
When Jesus dwells in our hearts, we become “rooted and grounded in love.” His love becomes the soil where everything good grows. To grow mānoa in His love is to realize that His presence in us is waaaaaay bigger than our personal failures, in our hearts, minds, and lives.
So today, we acknowledge Jesus’ love in us—that He is dwelling right now, in our hearts. Our hearts are His home! Thank You Godhead—Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit!
