It’s always been in my heart, that the vision for our church is God and people.  More personally stated, my vision for our church is YOU!  I believe God’s vision is YOU!

“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”
John 17:3 NIV

Before Jesus gave His life for His people, He prayed for the life of His people.

The night before the cross, Jesus prayed for His disciples and for all who would one day believe in Him. His prayer gives us an awesome picture of God’s vision for His people.

GOD’S VISION FOR HIS PEOPLE

Jesus didn’t come just to get us into heaven someday, but to bring us into a mānoa, life-giving relationship with the Father. There is a difference between knowing about God and really knowing God

We can do the right things and live the right way: know Bible stories, attend church, sing worship songs, and serve in ministry, but these great disciplines won’t give us eternal life or get us a “better grade” with God. Jesus reminds us that eternal life is found in knowing Him personally. He invites us into a relationship—to know His heart, voice, grow in trust, walking with Him one day at a time.

This Sunday, I’ll be sharing from John 17 as we look at God’s vision for you and me. Join me as we discover a few important observations of Jesus’ prayer and His vision for us.

Lord, may we not only know more about You, may we truly know You, love You, and walk closely with You.
