If you consider New Hope Mānoa your home church and missed this past Sunday’s teaching, this is a must listen to! Scroll to 40:12. This is where Pastor Mike begins his teaching.

Sometimes it’s difficult to hear God’s voice in the season we’re in and to follow His assignment.

John the Baptist was as an example of knowing both who we are and who we are not, embracing our God-given calling — without judgment, comparing ourselves to others or being to critical of ourselves.

As seasons change, so do our assignments. I’ve found that humility and a willingness to let God increase while I decrease is much needed. Jesus modeled how to faithfully fulfill His Father’s assignments, as He sought solitude with God, refusing to be distracted by the expectations of people, and staying focused on His purpose — even when the path involved suffering and sacrifice.

Let’s continue to ask God, “What are You doing in me during this season, and who have You entrusted me to love, serve, and encourage?”

Lord, help us all to be faithful and obedient to You in every season. We ask for grace and wisdom to fulfill Your assignment — Your purpose — for Your Kingdom honor! Lead us by Your awesome Holy Spirit!
