And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Revelation 12:10-11

As Christ’s followers, we are in a spiritual war with the evil one, satan/the devil. The battles we face as humans on earth should be seen in consideration of our spiritual lives and journeys.

It’s hard at times, to determine where accusations (of guilt, sinfulness, insecurities, condemnation, etc) we deal with come from. We are made aware that accusations within our own minds, emotions, or hearts can be affected and advanced by spiritual influences.

I’m reminded of the analogy of 2 Voices sitting on our shoulders. One little angel sitting on one side voicing the goodness, encouragement, and heart of God. And a little devil sitting on the other shoulder whispering words of discouragement, despair towards negativity, and enticing evil.

ASK?

I simply ask myself – and God…”Is this accusation, demeaning feeling of guilt, etc… coming from my sinful nature, or is the enemy stirring up a battle in or around me?”

PRAY & PRAISE.

When dealing with the war of lies, sinful nature, or the spiritual enemy, I thank God through prayer and praise. Complete salvation, power, and authority through Jesus is my Kingdom’s inheritance and position. Who I am is God’s child!

  • Because of the cross of Jesus, His blood and life have enveloped my heart and life.
  • The word of my testimony is my confession that I belong to Jesus and nothing can separate me from His love! I am fully loved, completely forgiven, and unconditionally accepted.
  • And my life is His…no matter what happens…good, bad, challenging, successes. I love God more than I love “my life.”
