Thank You, Godhead for the desire You’ve given us to grow in Jesus, and our Father, through the Holy Spirit. And to cultivate obedience and a heart to pray… just talking to You.
I could list a number of Scriptures on prayer to encourage and equip you…but we all know, we are gifted and called to PRAY.
- PRAYER is a “posture of the heart” we cultivate.
- PRAYER is not just a “thing we do.”
- PRAYER is not just left for a pastor, spiritual leader, or Prayer team to provide.
- PRAYER is not dependent on our eloquence, spiritual maturity, education, experience, or personality.
- PRAYER is talking to or making requests to our God.
- PRAYER is not dependent on the amount of Bible passages you use or memorize.
- PRAYER is not measured by the amount of time spent or words used.
- PRAYER can be in thought, in your heart, in silence, and in meditation.
Imagine if WE ALL grew in sensitivity and obedience to seek God in PRAYER? For ourselves…and for one another?
Matt. 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (NIV)
